Learning Lives Here
The Ask

Head Start touches millions of lives: students, families, and educators, yet its role was difficult to articulate. The organization is broad, decentralized and essential, but its brand failed to reflect the scale or seriousness of its impact.

Headstart was recognized but not understood.

Our challenge was to provide brand clarity.

When clarity is illustrated, trust follows.

The Idea

We reframed Head Start as the operating system behind public education in Los Angeles County; as the connective tissue that makes outcomes possible.

The brand needed to inspire, orient, reassure and support action.

The Work

LO:LA led a full brand and digital reset, starting with language. We simplified how Head Start explains itself, clarified internal structure, and rebuilt the website as a working tool rather than a narrative showcase.

Strategy guided information architecture.

Story guided navigation.

Design served comprehension.

Every decision asked the same question: Does this help someone do their job better?

The Impact

Head Start emerged with a brand that supports its core mission. Teams gained shared language, external audiences gained understanding and the organization gained a platform built for scale, responsibility and trust.

Clearer inside.

Credible outside.

Built to hold complexity without confusion.
